I have to agree with other readers that the cover art on this book is awesome. The book itself is entertaining, but I'm thinking the zombie genre just isn't really for me.

I read the book in a day, so it's a super quick read, but the parts where feeding were discussed made me queasy every time so I may have hurried through it just so I could eat again, ha.

I also found it amusing that (at least in the earlier part of the book) I empathized with the zombies. I loved the whole political, fight for your rights theme and felt horrible for how they were treated. I even joked that after reading the book I would probably start wearing a T-shirt that says "Zombies have rights too!" or something similar.

I would actually give the book 3.5 stars if I could, but Goodreads makes that impossible so I ranked it at three.

Pretty funny, but I wasn't a big fan of the ending. It's unsatisfying and doesn't fit with the rest of the story, in my opinion.

I found this book to be oddly inspirational. It was just a fun, easy book to read.

Breathers: A Zombie's Lament was not quite what I expected it to be. It was funny, that I expected, and it was disgusting, that I expected. But it was also touching and at times tragic, and this was unexpected. Not your typical Brain dead eat everything in site kind of book. Because of this it held my attention.

This darkly humorous take on the zombie genre left me thoroughly entertained from start to finish. The unique perspective on the undead, coupled with sharp wit and clever storytelling, makes this novel an absolute delight to read. Through the eyes of Andy, I found myself immersed in a world where zombies grapple with existential questions and societal prejudices, adding layers of depth to an otherwise gruesome premise. The narrative blends humor, heart, and horror, creating a thought-provoking and entertaining experience.
