Limitless is an inspiring and actionable guide that explores how we can tap into our mental potential to overcome barriers and lead a more fulfilling life. The expanded edition builds upon the core themes of the original, adding new insights and updated strategies to further empower readers on their journey toward personal growth and productivity.

Jim Kwik, known for his work as a brain coach for high achievers, shares his own experiences of overcoming learning challenges following a childhood brain injury. This personal journey sets the tone for the book, offering readers a practical and empathetic roadmap for improving mental capabilities, productivity, and overall well-being. Kwik's conversational style makes the concepts approachable, even when delving into neuroscience and cognitive psychology.

The book is organized into three main sections: Mindset, Motivation, and Methods. Each section contains valuable insights and exercises designed to help readers break through self-imposed limits.

- **Mindset** focuses on cultivating a growth-oriented outlook and eliminating false beliefs that hinder our progress. Kwik emphasizes the importance of a positive mental framework and challenges the common misconception of fixed intelligence. He introduces the "Limitless Model," which helps readers to understand the interplay between beliefs, identity, and behavior.

- **Motivation** delves into the art of finding one’s purpose and maintaining enthusiasm over the long term. Kwik discusses the power of setting clear goals and aligning one's actions with their values. He also introduces the concept of the “Limitless Motivation Formula,” which is designed to fuel consistent action by addressing the "why" behind our actions.

- **Methods** provides practical techniques to enhance learning, memory, and focus. Kwik introduces readers to his "F.A.S.T. Method" of learning, which emphasizes Forgetting distractions, Acting, being in a State of readiness, and Teaching others. The expanded edition enriches these techniques, incorporating new methods like speed reading, optimizing brain health through proper nutrition, and applying a digital detox to protect cognitive capacity from information overload.

What sets this book apart is Kwik's holistic approach, which combines scientific understanding with mindfulness and physical wellness. He emphasizes the importance of sleep, nutrition, exercise, and stress management in supporting brain health and enhancing cognitive performance.

A particular strength of the expanded edition is the emphasis on actionable tools and exercises that can be implemented right away. The "Kwik Start" sections provide readers with practical summaries of the concepts discussed, making it easy to put theory into practice.

However, one minor critique might be that the breadth of the material covered can feel overwhelming to some readers. Kwik’s enthusiasm is contagious, but those seeking an in-depth exploration of any single concept may need to turn to more specialized books. Still, for most readers, *Limitless* is a powerful compendium of strategies that are accessible, encouraging, and easy to integrate into everyday life.

Overall, *Limitless: Expanded Edition* is an empowering read that provides not only insights into how we can enhance our brain power but also practical steps for achieving our goals. Whether you are looking to learn faster, improve memory, or adopt a healthier mental framework, Kwik’s book offers valuable tools for anyone looking to become the best version of themselves.

Misguiding, rehashed, boring, useless

This is a horrible, horrible book for anyone that is interested in improving their learning habits or is looking for techniques and strategies.

The book is full of anecdotes and almost no real-world research. I guess it’s no wonder since the author is more of a marketer than a scientist or a scholar. Reading this book is like having chewing gum for dinner - you get some taste out of it, but this is nowhere near nourishing.

That’s why I wasn’t surprised, that there were NO PUBLIC HIGHLIGHTS - there’s nothing to highlight or anything to grab from it. The author simply rehashed the material from other authors and books, which wouldn’t be that bad, but he put his spin on everything, which just ruins the original ideas.

Speaking of original, there’s no original bone in the author's body and I think he isn’t even interested in moving the science of how people learn forward. Even his book title is “borrowed. Jim is just a marketer trying to carve a piece of a “Learning” niche for himself and you better go to other sources (like “Learning like a pro”) for more substance and scientifically based tactics to improve your learning ability.

This book does cite some research materials, but it’s like Jim chose research that fit his narrative, even though the research he’s citing has been proven wrong many times after the initial publication. This not only misguides the reader but also puts you in a doubt state where you don’t know if you can trust ANYTHING he says.

I’d say avoid this book. It was a pain to read.

Human potential is an infinite resource that can be accessed fully when we learn to unlimit ourselves. To do this, one needs to focus on unlimiting his mindset, his motivation, and his methods.

Mindset: know our limiting beliefs and replace them with me beliefs
Motivation: find a greater purpose
Methods: improve focus and learn to hone skills

The was a lot of info about how to I'll l unlock the brains potential, but it was a bit short on actually how to go about doing it. For that they would want you to sign up for their other courses.

This was a mix of highlighting interesting ideas and skimming content. I struggled with being told I was going to be told instead of just telling me.

He keeps going on about his celebrity friends and then he tells you to join his program (which costs money) and I feel instead of learning something new, he's just talking more about himself.Theres no information in this book that you can't find on the internet and I loss my patience and focus reading it.If felt more like a "marketing biography" than a self-improvement book.
