it's ok..
the political intrigue was lessened here because the characters weren't in the thick of it so that's one of the main reasons i didn't enjoy this more. as a result, the plot was slower and less interesting. i felt like Aysel was just running around all the time being misunderstood. it felt repetitive and boring.

The book was good. There wasn't a ton of plot development. I really loved the mfc. For some reason the mmc wasn't my favorite, he kind of got on ny nerves.

Storm & Shield was an enjoyable quick read. I find the magic system very intriguing, but I am left with some many questions with each book especially regarding the magic. I am enjoyed the romance and it makes me giddy but i do feel the romance between the FMC & MMC is was rather quick even the the relationship was a slow burn. I can't wait to continue the series.

This is the best sequel I have ever read! It picks up right after the first book but told by 2 characters from Reign & Ruin. I am loving this world and characters. I cannot wait to read the 3rd book and to complete the series. This one is definitely becoming my new favorite fantasy series!
