Enjoyable book, However, I felt that the ending was rather abrupt, as if the author ran out of time and had to finish the story. I guess it could have been a bit more detailed for me.

I didn't really enjoy this. There was way too much irrelevant detail in the story, considering how brief the final stand off was. The constant repetition of Pescolis children trouble and Selenas past experiences got boring and they didn't progress, they just complained. Also multiple sentences ended in exclamation points which just weren't appropriate for the style of the book... I think Lisa Jackson has exhausted the possibilities of this town as its turning a bit Midsomer Murders with the amount of psychos that live there, especially when they all only seem to function around Christmas.

Afraid to Die was a really interesting thriller novel that really got me back into reading once the school semester was finally over and I'd taken the time to relax my mind. I was hooked from the beginning and had many heart-stopping moments when I wasn't sure how things were going to go down and I was afraid of what the outcome may be.

All in all, this was a really good read and I would like to read other books in the To Die series!
