Oh, Mariana. How I love this book ❤️

I adore a book where you feel all the feels.
We went through hating the grump football player Aiden, to tolerating him, yo understanding him, then loving him. 🫠

I do love when a dumb single minded (football) man opens up his eyes to see what is right in front of his face. 🙈👀👋

Vanessa knew her worth and wasn't a pushover. I love that about her. Aiden was protective but let her do her own thing. 🥰

I don't re-read many books, but this is definitely on the list 💕💖

“I always learn from my mistakes. We made a good team once. We’ll make a good team again.”

I’ve never read any book of Mariana Zapata but I knew it was my thing due to the comments saying how annoyingly slow the romance would develop in her books and how introvert most of her male characters were. This book weren’t any different from what they said. It took me a while to get the hang of it since the beginning is very slow and the writing was kinda off to me (The author put the main character’s thoughts randomly in the middle of the scenes, which interrupts my line and thinking and distracts me from what’s happening in the plot). The female main character sounded quite annoying at first with the exaggerated overthinking but, at some point, I got used to it. She turned into a very badass assertive woman throughout time and one of my favorite characters from romance books along her boy. Vanessa and Aiden won’t get out of my head any sooner. Wish there were more but I think I’m all by myself (and a few fanfics) now.

I enjoyed this book after reading All Rhodes Lead Here and now this one i truly do love this author’s book her books or at least these two that I’ve read so far have good men he don’t have bad communication skills when talking to there partner especially during arguments they try to talk it out these books are slow burn the wall of Winnipeg and me is more of a slow burn then All Rhodes Lead Here i love these books there long and there so amazing i loved how Aiden cared for Vanessa’s well being and really just her they were such a good couple and i loved how when she quit the job he came to her home multiple times after that to beg her back and I enjoyed even more how there wasn’t some heartbreaking dramatic as can be break up in this book and especially the ending i was very satisfied about there complete 😉family😉 in the epilogue this will most definitely not be my last read from the author Mariana Zapata overall i rated this book a five stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oh ho ho. This was a really good read. Funny, real slow-burn, strangers-to-friends-to-lovers and marriage of convenience? Sign. Me. Up.

My chief complaint is that I wanted to spend more time with Vanessa and Aiden after they got together. I'm really glad there was no third-act-breakup - I'm honestly tired of this trope.

Would highly recommend for adult romance fans.

Spice level: 🌶🌶.5 (one detailed scene; one semi-detailed scene)

Spoiler My other complaint is the epilogue. Now, this is more of a personal opinion and not something that would make the book better necessarily. I don't like kids. I like kids in books even less, especially when my characters have said kids. That's the only reason I didn't like the epilogue. It was short, yes, and sweet. But it had kids.
