Sophie, a tiny mouse who would not go to bed, decides to try to become the Tooth Mouse. She must prove that she is brave, honest and wise if she is to be chosen. The book begins by explaining that in some parts of the world, instead of the Tooth Fairy there is a Tooth Mouse. With French phrases intermixed and lovely illustrations, this book make an enjoyable read aloud!

This beautifully rendered picture book is sweet and worth a read. It is rendered in watercolor and pencil with delicate designs and dynamic mice!

You must be brave, honest, and wise to be the Tooth Mouse. Does Sophie have these qualities?
Beautiful illustrations bring this story of the French version of the Tooth Fairy fable to life.

Sophie is a spunky, fun character. My 3yo likened her to Angelina Ballerina. I particularly liked the illustrations, which complement the French phrases embedded within the text. I'm not sure I'm 100% on board with the ending, which is the reason for four stars instead of five. It's creative, but a little too strange for my taste.
