Review - I loved the wide array of characters in this particular novel. Considering how short a time we have to get to know them it worked quite well in this instance. I want to see more of Hamish and Priscilla together, however, in future books. I loved the idea of pranks driving someone to kill, even though (without giving too much away!) that wasn't really the reason at all. A very clever combination of motives and ideas surrounding this murder.

Genre? - Mystery / Crime

Characters? - Hamish Macbeth / Andrew Trent / Betty Trent / Angela Trent / Priscilla Halburton-Smythe / Jeffrey Trent / Jan Trent / Paul Trent / Charles Trent / Titchy Gold / Melissa

Setting? - Lochdubh (Scotland)

Series? - Hamish Macbeth #7

Recommend? - Yes

Rating - 18/20
