3.5-4* an uneven but interesting anthology of retellings of British myths and legends. As with all things truly British that of course means Celtic, Norse, Germanic, etc... appropriated 'foreign' stuff basically.

Telling the story of Britain and it's people, Storyland is a collection of short retellings of old myths spanning the long history of the land. If you're interested in myth, history, and the British landscape, this book will take you on an interesting journey where all are intertwined. Accompanied by Jeffs' commentary and bold linocut print illustrations, it's an enjoyable light read.

I read each chapter twice so this is about the slowest I've read a book in a long time. Beautifully written, had me googling all sorts to dig deeper.
