The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson

Excellent psychological thriller, my favorite type of genre to read! I liked the fact that I was quite surprised by several of the twists/turns in the story! Unfortunately, that doesn't happen often enough in these types of books. If you like books similar to Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train, then you will most likely enjoy The Kind Worth Killing!

I know a lot of people loved this book but I just didn't fully connect with it, I feel like I was just distracted by the fact that the premise is so similar to strangers on a train (even though there are many twists in this book so it diverges from the plot of strangers on train). While the characters were believable, I just wasn't as interested by them as I wanted to be and I just wasn't invested in the plot as I would have liked. That being said I really didn't predict the way this story would end, and honestly I didn't see any of the twists coming! I think this book just wasn't for me, but I might try one of Swanson's other books and see if I connect with a different work more.

Bored. Kind of dark. Not my style.
