I loved the banter. The first half of the book had me smiling like a loon. The second was not as fun, but still very entertaining.

There were a few passages with the twins where I think the author herself got confused about who was who and had done what. I bothered me a bit, but I managed to push it far enough away to ignore it.

I would definitely not turn down a chance to read about the other quirky characters. Never mind if they'd be gay or straight, I would still read their story. However, it's been a year and a half since this release, and still no sequel, so I guess I'll have to let them live in my mind for now....

An excellent foray in to original fiction for Keira Marcos, I practically consumed it in one sitting. Well-written, with her trademark style of prose and characters you can't help but be invested in. I can see myself coming back to this for read after read.

I fully intended to read "just one chapter" before bed. I ended up unable to put the book down until I turned the last page (so to speak, having read it on my Kindle). Loved every second of this book, getting to know Riley and Marcus (& Co.). There's so much to learn still, and I'll be an eager 'student' ;-)

Fall for You is definitely one of the much better novels in this genre. Many of the usual clichées and tropes were blissfully absent and I loved the humour in the dialogue and the quirky characters. On a small downside, I felt it got a little too much talk and not enough action and the ending was less dramatic than I'd anticipated. Regardless, I'm going to keep a look out for the next book in this series!

The author is one of my all-time favourite fanfiction authors. So I was very interested to read how her story telling translates into original fiction.

Small warning: Very explicit m/m sex scenes.

The first chapter starts right in, not much setting up or beating around the bush. I guess, with only 167 pages to go you have to step on it... However, the beginning felt a little as if I was missing some information.

A lot of dialogue, little descriptive text. And when there is, sentences are sometimes less than smooth and with repetitions. Or wrongly placed, duplicate or missing words and grammatical errors. An additional editor would have done a world of good here, especially considering the asking price of the book.

The book is basically one big conversation. A lot of the dialogue reminds me of Keira's fanfiction. Wording, humour, snark, it's all there. In my mind I've dubbed the main characters John and Rodney, instead of Marcus and Riley.

And while I did like the conversational style of the story, I would have liked a little more plot and things actually happening, rather than people talking about the prospect of it happening.

I had some problems to keep track of the many characters. Every now and then a name would be dropped and I would have to think hard about who that was.

Regardless of all my above mentioned quibbles I really enjoyed reading this and did so in (almost) one sitting (damn you, sleep!). Good climax at the end.

I am pretty sure I will get the sequel, once it is available.

Paranormal, m/m romance short novel. I had read part of the story while it was written during one of Keira Marcos' Evil Author month I think. I was really happy that it was finished and published. It's a werewolves are living with us universe. Cute adorable doctor meets really adorable and gorgeous sheriff. Family, bad guys and life in a small town in Maine. It was a charming and fun story to read.

Not much angst here, and what little we have is all behind the scenes, except for the final chapter that ends in up being pretty violent. I surprised myself by giving this book 3.75 stars and rounding up to four.

Nice, easy read.

Thank you for the rec, Rhema!

PS LOTS of info dump, but somehow it wasn't painful or annoying. Humor helped :)

Absolutely loved the story!- no unnecessary drama, lots of funny moments, (I loved Marcus's family- to quote Riley "inappropriate" :); and I loved Riley's mum). Best of all, I loved how the H and H's romance progressed- it was a smooth journey to them becoming a couple. I was so invested in their story that I was quite surprised that I'd finished the book in one sitting.
I'm looking forward to reading more about them and any others....

Well written with a bit of snark and humor but felt a little flat emotionally. Made it a calming and mellow read though.
