So the voice I really enjoyed in this first book, didn't work for me as well here. I think I felt that it was Mac's voice so hearing it again here for a different character threw me.
Also, this dragged on. The beginning is super slow.

I know this was about Drew and Noah but I thought we would get a resolution to the Mac/Jordan baby story line. What happened there?

I like the way interactions are written and find them very enjoyable. The depth of the characters is questionable as they all seem to 'think' alike. The conflict was perhaps a little weak and I wanted more from the ending after such a long book.
Still an enjoyable book just nothing special.

This was a bit of a slow start for me, but I ended up really enjoying it. The banter was fun, even if the guys all sounded a bit similar in their inner sarcastic musings. I'm hoping we get a book about Grayson next!

This book was MILES better than the first one and I'm really glad that I stuck around to read it.

This one was a bit of a disappointment for me, especially because I liked the first one so much. It felt like there were a lot of contradictions in this book, for example, when
SpoilerNoah kept saying that he didn't do relationships, and when he and Sean were talking and Sean was saying that they "weren't relationship kind of guys." Noah had been married before and had just gotten out of a two-year relationship with Marshall. That's not a "not a relationship" kind of guy. And he *kept* reiterating it at the end. Sure, his first marriage didn't work out, but they were still friends/family. They still loved each other, they just weren't "in love" with each other. And Marshall? I could see Noah not wanting to begin another relationship right away because he'd been burned recently, but to jump straight to an "I'm not a relationship kind of guy?" That didn't work for me.

It also seemed like there was not enough of a build up for their romance. Which is funny because the book kind of dragged for me. Sadly, that was because there was a lot of time building up the *other* relationships in their lives. That's great that they have such wonderful friends/families around them
Spoiler(or in some cases not so great families),
but the book spent more time detailing them, and less time on the main couple, which was the whole reason I was reading the book.

It was also disappointing that so much time was spent building up the
SpoilerJ.D. arc, only for it to go nowhere. Well, I guess it served as the impetus for Noah to come back, but it just didn't work for me. Noah knew that he was in love with Drew, once he figured it out he shouldn't have needed an excuse to get on the plane to be with him.

I'm not sure if I just wasn't in the right headspace for this book or not, but for some reason, it just didn't work for me. :(

I’ve really liked some of this authors more recent books, but like book 1 of this series, I couldn’t get into book 2. I got to about 50% and then skipped to the last couple of chapters and what I thought would happen, had happened so left it there.

It has been so long since I read the first book, that I really didn't remember it at all, but I really didn't need to. Mackenzie and Jordan from book 1, [b:Stay with Me|21840816|Stay with Me (The PI Guys, #1)|S.E. Harmon|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1396489899s/21840816.jpg|41108310], were secondary characters in this story. This time around, we have Mac's business partner, Drew, who is stuck with screenwriter, Noah, shadowing him. It doesn't take long before sparks are flying and things heat up.
I loved how Noah and Drew were together, even when they weren't really communicating. There were some funny parts, some that made me a little sad, and some that pissed me off a bit. But I am a sucker for happy endings and I am glad that Noah and Drew got theirs.

I enjoyed book 2 in this series pretty on par with book 1. This book had dual POV, which I like best. It had plenty of snark and steam. It's also about Drew whose character was great in book 1. It's his turn to find love and it happens to be with someone whose abandonment issues rival Mac's. Noah is a screenwriter from Hollywood who will doing a 2 month long ride along stint with Drew in order to get info for his new script. Neither man is happy with the arrangement.

The unhappiness lessens when they realize they enjoy each others company. With a little prodding on Noah's end ,he convinces usually monogamous Drew to live a little wild and start a no strings fling. HAH yeah right. First of all, I don't remember flings spending so much time together outside of the bedroom or intimately cooking for one another. No matter how hard Noah tries to keep it casual it just isn't. Drew tries his best to follow the lead, but inevitably who he is wins out and he ends up falling for the wayward Noah. Noah falls right back, it just takes him a bit longer and also our classic separation. It ends like book 1, with a HFN situation. 4 stars

Utterly adorable and funny and writing was good

I love S.E Harmon’s writing style. She can create snark at a drop of a hat. Different variations and it makes me grin.

Drew and Noah are utterly divine together. This book made me sigh and squee and at times, put it away because I felt bad for Drew.
Noah was definitely a Hollywood type. But he was a good balance for Drew. He let Drew relax and be silly and weird.

I loved the interactions between our boys Mac and Drew. They were just so much fun together.

Highly recommend this P.I novel to anyone who like grumpy bears and laissez Faire dudes.
