I am SO glad that there is going to be one more book in this series. There are so many things that I still need answers to!

The character and world-building in this series never fails to amaze me, and this one gave me just as many feels as the other two.

If you're looking for a hot and fast romance book, then this one isn't what you should be reading. The Academy of Assassins books are very much a slow burn series. And I love them all the more for it. Instead of hopping right into, well, you know... Character development happens, and we get to see the friendships build among the characters.

I will admit that I had forgot some things about this series, but once I got into this book, things started coming back to me.

I do like Morgan and her guys a lot. This is more a plot based series, it has action and will keep you entertained.

I am a little disappointed that there is no sexy times yet and this is book three. I hope that part picks up in the next book.

Out of all the books in the series, this one took the longest for me to finish. I even forgot to write a review about it. Don't ask me why, im only writing the review now and it's been a month.

My first annotation in the book was: The fuck is she thinking now?

In all honesty, I do not remember anything about this book AT ALL. This book was so irrelevant and didn't contribute to the series at all with all the OW bullshit I refuse to give a fuck atp.

Stacey probably had enough of the series shit bcs istg she was recycling lines on this book.

Book 3, legit started getting repetitive. It was underwhelming and I swear I don't even remember shits about this book. But I remember having so many headaches whenever the author info dumps in one go about the very complex world they're in, and the characters in this book are just a lot to handle.

My brain cells are fried. Help.

better than the last book but still frustrating

We’re back at the group being controlling when I thought we got over this in Book 2. Why would the King want to kill Morgan? Morgan keeps getting her heart broken once she finds out things about her men but the entire time it’s being stated they are barely communicating with her and controlling her. The bonds are barely there. They are starting to let Morgan do her thing at the end of the book. Snooze on the spice. Is this a YA book? Better than book 2 but still mehhh.

The writing was a little over the top at times, but other than those cringey moments, I enjoyed the book
