Whew. Did this book answer my questions about WTF is going on? Mostly. Did I like the answers? I honestly have no idea. It feels like there is some serious dream power creep here compared to the original Raven Cycle. And I did not get nearly enough of Adam and Ronan talking about their feelings. Did it do enough to earn the neatness of the various happy endings? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And yet, I can't be mad about the happy endings. And I listened to the audiobook so it's hard to go back and pick out specific quotes, but there were so many times I thought to myself, goddamn I love that sentence.

cried like an absolute baby through the entire book. everything through from declan's relationship with his family (mainly father) and the absolutely wrecking final lines of the last two chapters had me sobbing my eyes out :)

Such a great conclusion to the series.

Even more than the last book, I got invested in the story and backstory of all characters. The multiple POV was handled really well - though I did have to force myself to read Hennessy's POV at least for the first half of the book because I found her completely insufferable. I haven't disliked a character this much in quite a while. However, she redeemed herself in the end.

And Declan! In the Raven Cycle, he did not come across as a nice character, but the Dreamer Trilogy actually did more character development and explanation for him than for Ronan, in my opinion.

Well worth every minute I spent reading.

this is one of the best books i’ve ever read.

obviously nothing beats the original raven cycle but this book completely destroyed me and also rebuilt me at the same time, it was literally an unbelievable ending to a series that i’ve grown up with and i think i underlined about 50% of this book.

the ending? one of the best ending chapters to a book i know i’m biased but come ON i can’t believe this series is over but that doesn’t mean my obsession with it is over no sir i will continue to reread these books forever thank you!!!

Delayed reading this book for months afraid of an unhappy ending. Happy to have been wrong.
