Good, but I kept getting confused when things were happening since it was told non linearly.

as both a queer and canadian (which i didn’t know elliot page was before reading this) memoir, i thought that i would like memoir more than i actually did.
however, pageboy’s prose fell sort of flat for me, and the non-linear storytelling that page used was sort of confusing. i kept having to make mental jumps between time, trying to remember what had happened and what hadn’t.
his writing also felt distanced, though i don’t feel that it had to be particularly emotionally close.
