Listened to the audiobook of this and it was deeply gut wrenching and vulnerable. Really loved it and may buy a physical copy to reread. Loved the way she described the arduous process of recovery and that includes backsliding. You definitely have to be prepared for heavy mental health topics going into this, but well worth checking out.

The vulnerability it takes to say these things about a member of your family is so, so great. I know because, I too feel relief and the opportunity to find myself after my mom died. It’s a strange line to walk - to miss them but also know that you could not have blossomed while they were still here. Heartbreaking.
