This book was so, so good! Jennette is such a strong woman. The book is also extremely well-written. Jennette is a natural writer and it really shines through in this book!

The horrors she had to endure growing up were truly awful, and I appreciate her honesty about mental health and the pressures of being a child star. I related to the struggle with her mental health she had, even if my childhood was very different from hers. I could relate when she started therapy and
quit because she didn't like what the therapist had to tell her-the truth.
. Bettering yourself when you're struggling so much is so, so hard, and Jennette's story really shows that. She should be proud of the progress she made, and she should be seen as an inspiration to others with experiences like hers!

How do you rate someone's life? Jennette McCurdy has seemingly lived so many, but it all boils down into depression and loneliness and mental illness in the pages of this book. I'm so happy she's doing better for herself, and I hope she stays that way.

I grew up watching her, so I could picture the moments she would describe in the real world. When she talks about pictures leaking or a specific scene they had to film or being at an event, I can remember that. Knowing what went on behind the scenes now, however, makes those moments turn upside down. I don't regret being happy and watching those moments, but I can reflect on them now because (to a much lesser degree) I feel like I went through that as well. Faking a life that would end up cemented in some kind of history, only to be broken behind the scenes.

I wish her well. And I hope she can choose her OWN thing for her life.

Jennette's storytelling evolved within the book, remaining faithful to whatever age she was at a each chapter. She spoke so candidly and was brutally honest with her straightforward writing and humorous interjections. You could tell that this was catharsis to her and you cannot help but root for her.
