I must join the chorus of praise for this fantastic memoir.
The reader is taken on a gripping and emotional journey through Jennette McCurdy’s life, carried by her excellent sense of humor.
The book covers some dark topics, but I never felt discomfort, thanks to the incredible writing style.
I had expected there to be more focus on iCarly, but Jennette wisely chooses to stay true to the book’s theme: her relationship with her mother.
I would recommend this book to anyone who can handle a story about child abuse.

Jennette's storytelling evolved within the book, remaining faithful to whatever age she was at a each chapter. She spoke so candidly and was brutally honest with her straightforward writing and humorous interjections. You could tell that this was catharsis to her and you cannot help but root for her.

Harrowing, sad, funny. I really recommend the audiobook, and it's the first audiobook I've ever listened to. It really makes sense when it's a memoir, and narrated by the person in question.
