I'm very glad I waited to read this after first getting a copy. It's very intense and does not shy away from all the harmful things we think up from the entertainment industry. It was incredibly hard to heard Jenette recount it all as well. It's a good book and discusses a lot of important topics while giving a deep look into unhealthy cycles, coming to terms with abuse from parents, eating disorders and recovery from, and so much more.

Beautifully vulnerable and brave. Being read by the author brought an extra layer of authenticity to it.

This was a great read (listen). As someone who grew up watching Jennette on TV, hearing her tell her story so authentically was really impactful. The writing is so raw & “her”.

I had wanted to read this book since it came out almost three years ago and it was so worth the wait. I had aged out of iCarly by the time it was airing so I didn’t know much about Jennette or her career, but her story was absolutely riveting and heartbreaking to listen to. I found myself feeling sad as she recounted her struggles with eating disorders and dealing with a narcissistic mother and felt pride when she talked about her recovery journey following her mother’s death. She certainly has a unique talent for writing and I would love to read more of her work in the future.
