While this volume didn’t grab me as much as the previous ones have, it’s still adorable. No matter what this series does, the characters are what’s driving it. The way Takeo and Yamato react to things and think is what drives every reaction.

The first half of the volume, we get to see a lot of Ai, Sunakawa’s older sister, and a friend of hers who’s in love with her. We see more of what Ai is going through, being in love with Takeo and not wanting to tell him, all while another guy is pushing her, wanting to be with her in the same way.

I like Ai, and I like her decision in the end, though I feel for the guy, as well.

The second half, we meet a classmate of Takeo’s. They have to work together, and then she gets to know him, and he helps her out at every opportunity. Clearly some hero worship, to a big crush, is developing. And this time, Yamato starts catching on and worrying.

Yamato is jealous, she has that tendency, and it’s interesting to see her feelings put to the test. All while Takeo is completely oblivious, until she talks to him. But the only thing Takeo is ever thinking of, especially when it comes to Yamato, is Yamato. He has no line of vision for anyone else. It’s sweet.

That storyline isn’t fully over, I don’t think, and while there might be drama and worry, I don’t doubt that these two will work it out.

The volume ends with a cute side story from when Takeo and Suna are kids, and Takeo helps them out of trouble. Very cute, sweet story.

Overall, a very nice volume. I’m loving this series, and am looking forward to the next one.

My Love Story Vol. 4 was a mix between "I like this part" and "I don't like this part", let me explain. In My Love Story there are usually two major storylines and I didn't like the first storyline but I really liked the second one and I also enjoyed the bonus story.

The first story was about
Sunkawa's adult college aged sister, Ai, and how she has had a crush on Takeo since he was in elementary and she was in middle school. It made me uncomfortable that an college aged adult was trying to entertain or be entertained by a high school student. I also didn't like the guy who had a crush on Ai, her college colleague and fellow student. He was just a source of aggravation for me, he was pushy and didn't take "no" for an answer.

The second story was about
Takeo having to run a Swedish relay race at his high school. He proceeds to help a girl train so she can run faster so their relay team can achieve victory, and Yamato catches them together practice and when Takeo is helping the girl home (after she hurts her ankle) and Yamato gets jealous. This manga was basically about relationship jealousy.

The last story takes place when the characters are in kindergarten, it was absolutely adorable.

Overall I enjoyed this manga so I'm giving this 4 stars out of 5
