Super cute story, and while it’s hilarious at how long Mason was in denial about his feelings for Linnet, it also got a tad bit irritating. He was too hot and cold, so much like a tsundere lol and i applaud the FML for being so patient with how rude and abrupt he got at times.

I also didnt like how they didnt explain Roberts (forgot his name… the youngest Vawdrey brother) side more, they just went and forgave him?! They didnt even show the brothers confronting him because Linnet fainted. I know author established he was still a whiny kid, but i would've liked him a a bit more fleshed out. on the other hand, i liked how we got to know the MMC’s older brother (Oswald), he was so nice and reasonable, i also liked how it was hinted that he’s a bit more cunning than he lets on. Excited to read his book!

Overall a short, cute story. It hooked me and finished within a day, but i wasnt super in love with it. Loved the minor characters though, especially Cuthbert.

Oddly enough this book brought back memories from a phases I haven't been in for a long time, the two main characters totally reminded me of the protagonists of Under the Oak Tree, they're almost exactly the same! Which is why it makes so much sense that I loved these two together. The couple is so basic and tropey but that's exactly why I love them, sometimes all you need is the basics and a fun plot to create a good book. My favorite trope of all time really is marriage of convenience (if you couldn't tell by my previous streak of romance novels) and this one has earned a place in my favorites!

Really enjoyed this book, and the writing was significantly better than that of the last book I read (From Blood and Ashes), so I felt less taken out of the world. The ending was a little cheesy, but throughout the book I was enjoying the story, and the development of the two characters and their relationship was cute, fun and spicy without being cringey.

Very cute!
I felt like the writing/ character development etc could have done with a bit more depth.
They were a super cute couple though!!!
