Loved this book. The writing was gorgeous and the vibe was perfect. This book is a mix of small town romance with characters marked by their dark pasts and kinda slow burn…? Also, there is dual pov, which I absolutely adore in general but especially in this one. No one can say anything against my precious Archer. I loved how this book shows that men can also suffer and be miserable and need to be cared for and can cry and can be in love so wholeheartedly. On the contrary, the book tackles some pretty tough traumatic experience (Bree: rape/sexual assault and Archer: family issues) as well, so be sure to check the trigger warnings. Yet, this book perfectly describes how two people can heal through love, trust and communication and that’s what I love about it. Actually, it’s not a stereotypical love story but a book about tenderness and understanding. At last: read this book, it’s pretty awesome and even worth a reread.

Ps: you should not read this book if anyone (your parents for instance) can look over your shoulder (I speak from personal experience) xD

Literally the cutest couple ever.

“Archer Hale's voice was one of the most beautiful things in the whole wide world.”

“She asked me the sign for love and I spelled out your name.”

I’m sorry but they are sickeningly cute. I was giggling and sighing and crying the whole time. Archer was just so perfect and his story was so sad but he was still so kind literally even after everything he went through. And bree is just the cutest girl ever I’m glad she had good friends around her and she made new friends too. How do I become a fly on the wall in their house cause I just want to see them forever. I love loveeeee and they are sooo in love🥹. Also, tori hale is psycho fr. Hope Travis goes to therapy xx but he’s a cutie you can tell deep down he wants to be good and I’m glad he’s in their lives still.
SpoilerAlso their kids at the end🥹🥹🥹🥹
HOWEVER, WHY WAS THERE ANY REASON FOR MY BABY TO BE SHOT AT THE END??! Has he not been through enough, been shot enough?? And did bree reallyyyy have to see another man she loved be shot BY THE SAME GUY?!? There was also not reason to make me cry like that. Concerned about my mental health fr🥲.

She asked me the sign for love and I spelled out your name.

This has been an adventure. A wonderful book that I didn’t want to put down.

250+ highlighted scenes/quotes that I've wanted to go back to. There's so many quotes that spoke to me and I cherished them all. Archer and Bree's love story is something that is not supposed to happen but it worked. Two broken people who healed through each other. It taught me that I should not give up on someone who's broken. They can be healed by using the right ways. I would have thought that this would have been too toxic. Someone trying to fix the other. But it's definitely not.

Plus points to all those spicy scenes. You don't have to be experienced to be great in bed. You just need the right partner to teach you what you both will enjoy.

Someday, when a paperback copy is available in the Philippines, I know for sure that I have to grab a copy and reread them. I want to see how pretty it looks when I have it tabbed and annotated.

there were some really cheesy parts and alot of stuff that made the book seem unrealistic but it was such a good book for a romance. the main character was kinda irritating at times but all the other characters made it out to be better overall. out of all romances it def be a five star but out of all books overall it was just too cheesy. romance isn’ really my thing tho so it wasn't the books fault. the ending had me so invested though like i didn’t know what was going on such a good cliffhanger? if you call it that.
Spoiler that short period of time where you think Archer is dead had me so fucking invested i was literally so stunned and upset but then you find out he's alive?!? ugh so good
