Loved this book. The writing was gorgeous and the vibe was perfect. This book is a mix of small town romance with characters marked by their dark pasts and kinda slow burn…? Also, there is dual pov, which I absolutely adore in general but especially in this one. No one can say anything against my precious Archer. I loved how this book shows that men can also suffer and be miserable and need to be cared for and can cry and can be in love so wholeheartedly. On the contrary, the book tackles some pretty tough traumatic experience (Bree: rape/sexual assault and Archer: family issues) as well, so be sure to check the trigger warnings. Yet, this book perfectly describes how two people can heal through love, trust and communication and that’s what I love about it. Actually, it’s not a stereotypical love story but a book about tenderness and understanding. At last: read this book, it’s pretty awesome and even worth a reread.

Ps: you should not read this book if anyone (your parents for instance) can look over your shoulder (I speak from personal experience) xD

4.5/5 stars. For a long time this felt like a 5-star read, and I still really loved this book, but the end wasn’t my favorite. Overall, there were so many things I appreciated. Archer and Bree’s love was so gentle and pure, Archer is precious, and I loved the small town. So many wholesome side characters, some drama, and a whole lot of growth. I really loved Bree’s character - she just felt so mature. I am so glad I finally read this, Archer Hale is definitely up there amongst my book boyfriends 😅

The main character treats the love interest like a small child, at least in her internal monologue. He's a grown man, he's just mute. Having a disability doesn't mean he's helpless. She has sex with him and still calls him things like "awkward boy" in her mind. She also very clearly wants him to change, for example in the way he looks.
But Archer is not the best character either. He has some mysoginistic moments in the book.
I finally gave up when
Spoiler Archer cheated on the main girl in a strip club. I cannot believe that a grown man, however removed from society he has been, does not understand the concept of cheating and that clearly his girlfriend will not be happy with him if that is something he does. He was too gullible for a twenty-something year old man. Also I just hate cheating and therefore had no more energy to keep going.

I started reading this book because I wanted something sweet and easily digestible. I wasn't expecting miracles, and yet this book still managed to disappoint me.

there were some really cheesy parts and alot of stuff that made the book seem unrealistic but it was such a good book for a romance. the main character was kinda irritating at times but all the other characters made it out to be better overall. out of all romances it def be a five star but out of all books overall it was just too cheesy. romance isn’ really my thing tho so it wasn't the books fault. the ending had me so invested though like i didn’t know what was going on such a good cliffhanger? if you call it that.
Spoiler that short period of time where you think Archer is dead had me so fucking invested i was literally so stunned and upset but then you find out he's alive?!? ugh so good

Wow I didn't know what to expect with this book. This book made you feel everything so many times throughout; hope, happiness, pride, sorrow, encouragement, irritation, all the things!! All the characters and back stories in this small town were greatly thought out. Everything felt full circle. The romance was beautiful and felt real and genuine. The overall message of the book of being kind and friendly to everyone is so important and I loved the story.

Also love an asl representation....."it would probably be amazing what we could all see and hear if we would just shut out mouths a little more, and stop trying to constantly hear our own voice". 🖤
