This is the updated version of the original Amazing Face published in 2011 by well known author & Go-To skin care founder Zoe Foster Blake. It’s such a fun read filled with lots of practical tips based on Zoe’s experience.

Look, she's a cute writer. I just feel sad that she's teaching a lot of women to spend a lot of money on a whole heap of chemicals from a range of unethical companies (some of them worse than others). But she has a good blow drying technique. So read the book, learn the lessons, ignore the sales pitch, don't buy any of it.

Things I learnt from this book:
1. I have a cool skin tone.
2. I need to get my eyebrows fixed.
3. I should NEVER get a bob cut in fear of looking like Lord Farquad. (no hate to Farquad though, he's literally the best)

My one complaint is that everything in the book (I'm sure) costs an arm and leg. Us readers are too broke to buy makeup/skincare products.

However, as a young teen with no prior makeup experience, I did enjoy this book and learn from it!

This is a fun read, to give you an idea it starts "I learned how to apply make up from a girl in the toilets..." Ah high school memories. I've loved some of the simple tips - put bronzer on like the number 3, and cream blush using the nike symbol; but my favourite tip would have to be creating a day spa feel by putting a few drops of lavender oil on a flannel/facewasher, then putting the flannel on the drain in the shower whilst you have a shower. The steam, the fragrance. Lovely. I do warn though, don't read this while you're feeling skint, as you'll want to buy heaps of beauty products as you read.

There's some good info in here, but ZFB is just not funny enough to carry it. A solid beauty blog will serve you better.
