Hands down my favorite sapphic book I’ve read so far. I’ve been on the hunt for good sapphic novels. This is my favorite contemporary one that I’ve read but I still have yet to find one I thoroughly enjoy in the fantasy genre. I absolutely love the romance between Delilah and Claire. Well written, romantic, with a little bit of spice. *chefs kiss*

Amé este libro porque los personajes secundarios??? Tienen impacto en la trama???? Tienen personalidades y problemas propios???? SON MÁS DE UNO?????? Increíble. Unheard of en una novela de romance.
Ahora solo falta que dejen de promover el alcoholismo.

I went into this book with thoughts of a lighthearted romance with some chuckles along the way. And I got that, but I what I also got was ALL the feels.

Delilah Green has come back to her small hometown of Bright Falls to photograph her estranged stepsister’s wedding. For Delilah, Bright Falls only holds memories of a lonely childhood and adolescence, where she felt nothing but dislike and indifference from her stepmom & sister after her father’s sudden untimely death. But when she ends up getting hit on by one of her stepsister’s best friends, things end up going in a totally different direction than she could have ever planned for.

The romance between Delilah and Claire is just so sweet, with a forbiddeness/does she really like me “like that” vibe. Then you add in Claire’s sweet artsy daughter and Claire’s “doing the best he can after failing so many times” baby-daddy, and you have the makings of a beautiful modern family.

And speaking of family, the storyline between Delilah and her sister, Astrid, almost surpassed her relationship with Claire for me; they had me bawling my eyes out toward the end. They both suffered from the circumstances that surrounded them after Delilah’s Dad died, and whew, I so hope we get to see more of them together in Astrid’s book.

@kdimerc hit it out of the park with her narration on this one. Perfect voices and emotions throughout. HIGHLY recommend the audio version of this book.
