This books was really amazing but i don't know if i would recommend it to anybody...it was really hard for me to read it...I saw on the internet some people complaining that although it was an awesome book it was too small (170 pages)...well, first of all it wasn't awesome...it was horrible. You can't read this book and then say it's awesome, because it doesn't make you feel like that when you finish it...it makes you feel like shit, it makes you feel like it should make you feel...and secondly, this book couldn't have been any longer, it was too raw and personally I don't think i would have liked reading 300 pages of it...
As you can see I gave this book 5 stars, which means that when I say it's horrible, i don't mean that Elizabeth Scott didn't write it well, or that it was boring. It was supposed to be horrible, it's purpose was to shake you, and to make you see what's happening in front of our eyes...
I really liked the review Chris Crutcher gave for this book: "Most authors want to hear 'I couldn't put it down' from their fans. Living Dead Girl is a book you have to put down; then you have to pick it right back up. The beauty of this story is that, though none of the readers will have had this experience, all will feel connected to it"
I wouldn't like to talk about the characters of this book, and their actions. I think this i a very...unique book

A quick note in regards to those who have previously reviewed this book: It is completely unfair to give a low rating based on how comfortable one is with a book's subject matter. Given this particular book, I would say being uncomfortable while reading is a great indicator that Ms. Scott has done her job well. Events like the ones that take place in this book happen in real life all of the time and not writing about them doesn't make them go away or happen any less. The book jacket/summary didn't try to keep the contents a secret; if you would rather read about rainbows or sparkly vampires then look elsewhere.
My review:
This book is incredibly well done. The story was narrated in sparse language that was perfectly used and completely believable. It didn't stop to get bogged down in any sort of sentimental sappiness or dwell anywhere for the sole purpose of tugging on heart strings or even to shock the reader. Everything shared was necessary for the advancement of the story. The end was exactly what it needed to be- I hope it isn't too much of a spoiler alert to say that a Hollywood happy ending where all of the loose ends get tied up would not fit with the story. It isn't what this book is about. It was heart breaking and genuine feeling and definitely worth while.
All that being said, who the he'll decided this is a YA book?
