A bit of an incoherent mess to be completely honest. I think a different selection of his work would have made the book more cohesive.

I was excited to read this since his considered such an important voice of 20th century America, but for me this was pure non sense. I found the references to obscure and couldn’t anything out of his rants. Still, America and I Am A Victim Of Telephone were good.

Ginsberg was a bit or miss for me. Maybe when I finished up the book, I wasn't in the mood for his poems.

enjoyed reading some of the poems, but i do believe that it is ginsberg’s cultivated literary persona which brings value to his work, not the actual poetry itself
