I loved this book and Ove so much. So beautiful and witty writing. This made me cry at the end <3

Such a heartwarming story. I enjoyed this from start to finish. I want my own Ove!

Vacillated heavily between comedy in the modern day and tragedy in the past. The tragic moments did make me cry, but the comedic moments were repetitive, often not funny, and I skipped through them very often. Just tried to get to the end of the book for book club, which was a fun do.

I don't review books very often, but this one was especially touching. I listened to it as an audiobook and made the mistake of finishing it in my car. Because of this I had to sit in the Target parking lot until I finished sobbing at the end. I'm not a big weeper, but this was strong story with believable characters that I grew quite attached to. A good read. Definitely the extra star is for making me cry.

Definitely a slow starter! I fell in love with Ove by the end of it. I’m just mad that it didn’t give us the reunion in the afterlife moment that I spent the whole book waiting for.
