This book is well-written and honest. It talks about how the UK prison system is not good and doesn't help prisoners to rehabilitate, especially those who have mental health problems. It also shows that if you are white and have a good education, you might get special treatment. It also does a great job of explaining what life is like in prison. He shares about different parts of his experience, like dealing with rules that aren't always enforced and the challenges of living with someone you don't know.

A fascinating insight into the life of a prisoner in Wandsworth prison. Chris (a middle aged, white, middle class man) was sentenced to 5 years for fraud and wrote a diary while inside. It has changed my perception of prison life and that it isn’t quite how it is portrayed in the media. A very interesting and at times funny read!
