3.5 stars rounded up for Goodreads. This was a cute, quick, and fun read for me!

There are quite a few movie references that I really enjoyed seeing peppered throughout the story, i.e., The Goonies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and more!

This story definitely has a Goosebumps-type of vibe. Although this is the fourth book in the MonsterStreet series, it's actually the first one that I've read. Now, I am really looking forward to digging into the rest of the series!

I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a light read with a nostalgic feel. This is a perfect book for summertime, but it would be entertaining at any time of year!

This particular book kept popping up my recommendations and it reminded me of Goosebumps. I never thought I would feel the high of a Goosebumps book again. I was wrong. And I immediately put the first three books in the series on hold at my library.
