Bueno me tomé dos horas para terminarlo. Este se me hizo lento aunque al final me engancha de nuevo como el vicio que es y pronto lo reseño en el blog.

I'm obviously in it for the long-haul with this series. I own the first five which I read in high school, and am now borrowing the remaining books from the library to catch up!

This book feels a bit like a dumpster fire. There's a lot of garbage, mainly created by Reed (who is growing stale as a relateable protagonist), that is bursting into flame around her. As a reminder, in book 5 Cheyenne kills herself after battling with Reed over her methods for managing the Billings house (methods that involved alienating and devaluing Reed's friends). She supposedly does so due to being expelled but Reed receives a creepy email from Cheyenne stating that it is really HER fault. So of course Billings is dealing with sadness about their dead housemate, as well as even MORE sadness that because of her death there will be no fabulous Legacy party! As newly-elected president of Billings, Reed has to figure out some way to save the Legacy, some way to respect and honour Cheyenne's death, some way to distract herself from the creepy emails she's continuing to receive, and some way to deal with the fact that her boyfriend hates her friends and she's flirting with an old friends' ex. *phew*. To top it off *slight spoiler* Noelle returns! Just in time to stress Reed even more about her presidency and her flirtation with Noelle's ex, Dash (that is actually his name!).

Normally I'd be down for the drama. That's obviously why I read these books. But Reed's immaturity is so painful that she is actually creating extra drama for herself just by not being open about things that really shouldn't remain hidden! STOP flirting with Dash! Show someone the creepy emails! Force your boyfriend to choose his douchey attitude OR you! Reed's a little too old and experienced for her pathetic paranoia and inability to own up to anything to be understandable. I can't really root for her anymore, which made this book hard to get through.

Another issue, is believability. Reed is experiencing oodles of drama, some obvious guilt issues, possible depression, etc. and still managing a wonderful GPA at a prestigious private school? Come on! If you want me to buy in to her stress and the whole "the world is ending" vibe of Reed's life, one of the first things that would tank is her schoolwork. Especially for teenagers, social stress can wreak havoc on schoolwork and Reed is managing an INSANE amount of stress.

Anyways, there's a pretty great cliffhanger at the end and lots of new mystery unfolding so you can bet I'll be reading book 7 ASAP.

I read the first six or seven books of this series back in middle school and loved it (it's very similar to my guilty pleasure, Gossip Girl and PLL). I've since bought the rest of the series but never got around to finishing it... So I decided to reread this and freshen up my memory!

This book was full of addictive, scandalous, and trashy-YA drama.

In this volume, Reed assumes presidency of Billings. With the Legacy being cancelled because of Cheyenne's death (hence the title of this book), it's up to Reed to come up with a plan to uphold Easton's age-old traditions at any cost.

REED IS THE NEW PRESIDENT OVER BILLINGS AFTER THE DEATH OF CHEYENNE MARTIN.
SHE IS HAVING A SECRET AFFAIR WITH DASH ACCORDING TO HER, AND ALSO RECEIVES E-MAILS FROM A DEATH GIRL. NOT ONLY IS THAT HAPPENING TO HER, BUT THE LEGACY HAS BEEN CANCELED, UNCANCELED AND UNINVITED EASTON ACADEMY TO IT!
IS UP TO THE PRESIDENT OF BILLINGS TO FIND A WAY TO GET INVITED TO THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS PARTY EVER!!
FINALLY, WHEN REED GETS HER WAY TO GO TO THE LEGACY, ON HER WAY BACK , THE SECRET PATH TO GETTING BACK INTO SCHOOL IS BURNING DOWN!!
CANT SAY REED BEING PRESIDENT OF BILLINGS HAS ITS PERKS AND DISADVANTAGES!
CANT WAIT TO READ THE NEXT BOOK OF THE SERIES.

I liked this series in the beginning after I had read one of the prequels "Book of Spells" but now it's getting a little boring. Nothing new seems to happen; it's always someone dies, someone gets accused of murder, somebody doesn't get to go to some party, or something of that same story line. Maybe I need to skip ahead a few books and see if it improves.

All in all, I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either.

This is probably the book I remember the most. Well, the ending where
SpoilerReed and Dash got it on.
I don't think I've read any past this one before, so I'm excited to see what else happens. But this book was also a let-down. It's getting too far-fetched. Of course I'm still keen, but not AS keen as I have been previously.
Like honestly she is just one of the most annoying main characters. I don't have the energy left to rage about this book anymore, but I will continue.

Yay! Noelle is back! despite her major issues i really missed her in the last book. And reed really annoyed me in this book. like skipping out on Josh all the time for stupid reasons. Josh is the best and i don;t see why reed always has to fight him. Josh deserves better but i still wish he a reed were together.
