A breezy read. Enjoyable, but I didn't find it particularly actionable. Also, didn't realize at the time the level of success the author had already achieved. Still had a good time reading it. A good bathroom book, easy to pick up and put down.

i ended up not finishing this. it’s not that it’s a bad book but it’s not what i anticipated it to be. the author is great at connecting to her readers in a very personal manner, but i personally found it difficult to connect with her. no judgement to those who do like this book and found it helpful! it just wasn’t for me.

It took about halfway through this book for it to grab me, but the more Hollis reveals about her self, her reality, and how she's been working through her insecurities, the more I enjoyed reading her writing. She's up front about the complexities of life, body image, being a working mom, being a busy mom, and even drinking. She even mentions her faith a few times without getting saccharine or preachy. If you struggle with any aspect of being a woman (while she has young kids, some of her messages will resonate with people with older children or even none at all), this is worth you time, and at just around 200 pages, does an efficient job of making you rethink all your self-doubt.

I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it in mere hours. It advocates for self love, body positivity, and chasing after your goals. An uplifting read for all women!

this book just really rubbed me the wrong way.. had this not been an audiobook, absolutely no way i would have finished it. i also may have been naive, but there were parts of this that were much too preachy for me. i don't know, maybe she really did struggle in life but none of this felt real.

I waited months for this book on audio from my library after hearing a few friends rave about it. When it finally came in I started it and then double checked that, yes, I had the right book. I’m glad this book helps some people, but I knew fairly quickly that Rachel Hollis doesn’t have the kind of life problems I have or even the “motivational” problems I have. After listening to the first two chapters it became clear that I was past all she had to offer.

I didn’t mind this book at all, I thought the author was funny and she did a good job explaining what helps her. There's a lot of GOD stuff in it which I'm not really about, but to each their own. I thought it was good.

I couldn't finish it, it was just that awful. I hardly ever abandon books but I decided this was not worth my time.

Sure there's some good talking points but this was just one massive humble brag in my opinion.
