Due to the comic book format, this is a very quick read. This leaves little time to connect with any of the characters, so it is a very brief glimpse into the life of this 15-year-old girl. I typically enjoy this format, but with such deep and complicated subject matter and very little time to digest it all, I am not sure yet how I feel about this particular work. However, I think it is great to open up readers to thinking and talking about topics like the ones explored in the book, and I think it might fit well in a seminar focusing on adolescent trauma.

No me gustó mucho ni el dibujo, ni como estaba escrito, ni los personajes. Sorprendentemente la serie me gustó mucho más que el libro. Un NO para mi.

Although this one is only 180 pages it weighs an emotional ton. I'm waiting for TEOTFW to come in, and I guess I should have seen it coming but I just wasn't expecting to lose Sydney, a sad teen who didn't have the tools to help her cope with grief, anger, frustration and a struggle to understand life and death. I love Forsman's classic, vintage style of cartoon and I look forward to reading his other works. I recommend this to older teens and young adults who don't mind heavy content.

kind of a really shitty ending. kind of weird this was written by a man. i don't really know
