I didn't like Nemesis that much and was wary of reading this, but I was in between books, so why not, I decided. What a gotdang roller-coaster. Definitely made a good decision. It's by no means perfect, but the story was definitely riveting from beginning to end.

I feel like this book ripped me apart. The trauma and tragedy of the situation that the characters were in felt so heart-wrenching and brutal, and then remembering that they are all about SIXTEEN YEARS OLD? My heart hurts for them.
But I couldn't imagine the book ending any other way than it did. I don't think that's something nearly anyone would be able to live with themselves after, if they couldn't find a way to bring them back.
This book was violent and emotionally devastating, but genuinely so good and well-written. I can't begin to imagine what Book 3 will contain, and I'm terrified and ecstatic to read it.

So slowww
I was busy this week so I crawled through this book and had no motivation to read it
Only about the last 100-150 pages were good

Docking a star only because some of that alliance stuff got straight up ANNOYING at times, but my god. Where does this story go next? How does it all end!?

Also, you know what, part of that star disappears because the Min/Noah thing is straight up ridiculous. I have no reason to believe they actually care for each other but, obviously, am going to have to deal with it no matter what.

YA thriller. So much better than book 1. There were a lot more twists and turns. A lot more violent events and deaths that keep you on your toes. The ending to the second book I feel is where the series should have ended. It was prefect. Therefore, I won’t be reading book 3.

I enjoyed this novel. It kind of reminded me of the Hunger Games in the way that a bunch of teenagers were killing each other and fighting for their lives. Except this book has a much more complex plot, and a lot more secrets. For most of this novel I still didn’t know what was going on, and what the point of everything was. But, the suspense until the end really made the novel hard to put down. Especially with all the secrets that were revealed about what happened on Earth and with Min’s life. There are some many sides and perspectives about the whole horrible situation. Who’s right, who’s wrong, and who will survive. The book has a good ending with enough mystery to make me want to read the last book in the series.

After Nemesis, I wasn't sure what to expect with Genesis.
To me, the blurb didn't sound compelling and I was shocked to see over a 4 star rating on here. However, after reading, I realized that I LOVED this book!
Nemesis follows the story of the 64 students after being placed in the program. After reaching phase 2, bloodshed erupts and people place themselves before others, fighting in order to be the last remaining members of the sophomore class.
The amount of plot twists in this book made it even better than Nemesis. My jaw literally dropped like 3 times while reading this! The best part of Reichs's writing is that he doesn't even make it obvious-- every plot twist was shocking. I loved Genesis, and I can't wait to read Chrysalis.
