This book is my second favorite in the series so far. It focused more on how Loren and Lily had to help each other so they could each overcome their addictions. In Lo's case, he had to adjust to his not drinking, while Lily had to overcome her own addiction. There was also a sub-plot that I enjoyed, even if it was horrible for the characters. This book focused more on Lo's relationships with his family. And I quite enjoyed it. It showed the complex and toxic relationship he has with his dad, as well as the relationship he's building with Ryke. But this book was quite hard to read at times. It was, dare I say, darker than the others. It deals with sexual assault, blackmailing, substance abuse, child abuse, neglect, abandonment. It was dark. But so, so good.

I just finished it!!! gosh i am quite literally addicted to these series. okay first of all: I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO READ RICOCHET FIRST BEFORE READING ADDICTED FOR NOW. Lily and Lo are in rehab and getting better, at least theyre trying! it's been 3 months since they've seen each other. li's battle with her addiction seemed easier to fight when her vice (lo) wasn't literally there. anyways they are a group now, lily, lo, rose, connor and ryke. they take a spring break vacay to Cancun, where they accidentally lose all their baggage and the rooms that they booked. so theyre stuck in one room, all of them together+ Melissa the bitch ryke brought with, whom we hate!! oh and also daisy, the 16 year old sister tags along. before they went on this vacation lily's therapist gave her a blacklist of things they can and can't do. she doesn't know what's on the list, because her therapist thought it would be better this way. anyways
on their way back lily's secret gets out and later on we find out it's ryke's mom, who has outed lil. she's absolutely broken, she can't go outside, she's afraid, and her parents basically disown her, and her mom is a BITCH, we also hate her.
so they come back and tackle their new problems, but theyre all feeling broken and just tired of everything. OH also lo's dad might be an asshole but he's always there for his kids and i think the mean side of him would disappear if he dealt with his drinking problem. loren also finds out about his mother and his step sisters, even though his mom wants nothing to do with him, he still went to meet her and that ended up with him outside of a bar, almost collapsing. OMG sebby is the worst we hate him more than anyone else.  OH and lo n lily are engaged to save their relashionship and all that. the book ends with loren actually proposing to lily iykyk. and lily has finally put on some weight YAASSSS. okay this much for now, idk what else to say lol
