I want to give this book the worst rating in the world, and also five infinite stars.

The character development that
Johnathan
Loren
Lily
Rose
Gave us was amazing.

However these books NEED FUCKING TRIGGER WARNINGS.
I’m not the kind of person who thinks the world should be coddled, however the topics in these books, and this one ESPECIALLY made me sick to my stomach.

They hurt to read, and made me physically sick. My heart hurt.

I can commend the writers for the way they depict the events. I can even applaud them for finally improving their writing enough that they illicit these emotions from readers.
But the topics in this book are  heavy as hell.

That’s all…

The series definitely improved. As I said in my first review, I am addicted and Im now am coming to terms with liking the books.

This book still focuses on Lilly and Loren developing and growing. Although their relationship and growth are not what kept me reading. I just love all the side characters. They really bring the story to life. I am totally hyped to now read Kiss the Sky and especially Hothouse Flower.

"Because I think she loves you more than she loves sex. And you love her more than you love alcohol, but you two just haven’t let yourselves believe it yet."

Remember in book 1 when Lo said he wanted to love her more than alcohol? That scene lives in my head rent free. 🥺 Yup! My obsession with Loren Hale continues.
I love that we got a dual POV with this one. Lo is playing such a crucial part in helping Lily recover. It makes me so proud of how far they've both come.

Oh, and F that therapist!!!!
