This book made me mad, happy, sad, excited, and sad again. I want to know what happens after I want to read more but I'm happy that it's over. Their adventure was worth reading!

This was truly a great read. The way the characters matured and the story kept me slightly guessing kept me hooked the whole time.

Perfect

Aside from wondering what happens to Miles and June in the future, the ending to this story covered absolutely every question and mystery. It was truly a complete ending and Amy hasn't disappointed in the slightest.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It sums up all the plot lines but still left room for more books in the series.

Until the Beginning was a really great read. I love Juneau and Miles and watching them try and save her clan. The story was so much fun to read and when I got to the end I was very sad that was it. That there wasn't another book with more of their adventures.

At the end of the last book Miles wasn't in such good shape and Juneau was hopeful that she had saved him. When this one starts she is trying to figure out if she has been successful. Trying to stay positive and not think anything bad would happen. I really enjoyed her. I like the whole idea of how she can communicate with nature and use the forces to do things. How she struggled with being lied to her whole life and trying to figure out what she actually believed. She did that a bit in the first book, but she really had to solidify some of her beliefs in this one. It was great because most people I know went through the same kind of thing when they left home and were out on their own. Taking what you learned growing up and shaping it to fit you.

Miles was really great in this one. I didn't connect with him as much as I would have liked in the first book, but by the end of this one I loved him. I loved how he took to everything. How it was crazy and scary, but he worked through it. How he cared for Juneau and was always there when she needed him. How he wouldn't give up, how he was always ready to help her if need be.

Juneau was off to save her clan. She finds them and then has to figure out a way to safely get everyone out of where they are. The people who took them and how everything fit together was kind of awesome. I loved the ending and how everything went down. It was a lot of fun. And I want more! Like what happens next? I know they talk about it a bit, but I wasn't ready to let these characters go. I wanted to see them go out into the world and figure everything out. A really fun read.

"It's a no-man's-land between two epic stories. After the end of one . . . until the beginning of the next."

If I'm being honest I love this book less compared to its predecessor. I don't know why but it felt like something has been lost. Something that I can't explain. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed reading this book. So much. I still adored the main characters Juneau and Miles and their chemistry. These two really clicked with each other. I giggled whenever they are teasing and throwing banters. Hahaha.

There are just some few events or actions that seemed forced and rushed between Juneau and Miles. Besides, even if the first few chapters weren't boring or a snoozefest, it felt like nothing much happened on those chapters, just the main character being angsty and such and it became, in my opinion, a way to insert some romantic scenes that weren't necessary. Or maybe it was, but anyway.

I admit, I'm rooting for some intense action; luckily, I got it. Even it wasn't that epic, I thought I still enjoyed it and gave me the jitters. And, of course, I also got answers, woo-hoo! Some clarification of the truth about the mystery in this book that I didn't get on the first book. Ah yes, it still came down to science but the author made a senseful philosophical statement about the old ways. That I found meaningful and remarkable.

As a whole, Until the Beginning fulfill my satisfaction and it brought me to a great and exhilarating adventure of unique abilities, truth-seeking, science, lies, the old ways, nature, family, love and friendship.

The question is: Is that Four and Tris on the cover?

It took a while for me to get into it, but I ended up enjoying this book more than the first one.

"A mystery," he replies with a grin, "with a kick-a$$ heroine, a hero who is so hopelessly into her that he'll follow any crazy plan she suggests, and a bit of magic and action thrown in to keep things interesting."

What a great book 2. I loved book 1 - was completely thrown and surprised and in in love with the idea of this clan hidden in Alaska. I loved the Yara and Gaia and Juneau's belief in herself and her clan.

This one, however, is much more about finding yourself. It's about Juneau really coming into her own - not tied to her clan, her beliefs or their betrayals. She must decide who she is and what she is fighting for.

Spoiler Miles must also decide what he believes and what he is willing to fight for

Even the clan must decide - once they shed the chains of lies and deceit, they must decide what they believe and who they are. It's amazing story of growth and love and friendship and also the respect of the land and of those who came before you.

it's a wonderful conclusion I'm so glad I finally grabbed to read.
