This could have been a romance, or a psycho-thriller. It had all the right details to walk that line. What's crazy though, is that I enjoyed that it was very stalker-ish? Weirdly romantic the way it was laid out.

7/10 Romance

A lovely story, a lot of heart and soul in this book.

It seemed to me that everything happened really fast. I was waiting for something huge to happen and it never did. It was an okay book because it's entertaining and light, but it wasn't amazing.

Despite blogging about chick-lit I'm not usually one for sugary-sweet romances (I like a bit more in my reads than merely a love story), but I bought this because of the cover and premise. The whole 'stuck in a lift' aspect was intriguing (I thought the whole thing might have been set in the lift!), and the sample seemed very funny, and it had some good reviews. Sadly, I just didn't enjoy it that much. It just seemed to drag in places. I did enjoy the reminiscing, and of course, meeting Daniel for the first time as an adult. I loved Elena and her hilariously embarrassing moments! She was, I felt, a great character, although I do wish she had stuck up for herself more with Alex.

(I wanted to punch Alex in the face SO DAMN MUCH and felt myself feeling annoyed that Daniel didn't. But that's because Daniel is a much better person than I would have been!)

This is a sweet book. If you like boy-meets-girl, getting-to-know-you stories, I can really recommend this. I just think it fell flat after a certain point, and there wasn't much to the story besides the two of them getting to know each other as they go about their day-to-day lives.

That said, I don't think this was an issue with the book or the author (especially seeing as most readers on here loved the novel!) I think it was just down to personal preference - I only took a chance on this obvious romance novel because it seemed more interesting than others. It just wasn't my thing.

THIS ENDED SO ABRUPTLY WHAT??? I literally was not ready for it to end what the?? I have unanswered questions pls

Besides that, this was such a good read oh my goodness! Daniel is literally a new book boyfriend. I could not stand Rachel, she seemed so sketchy. Alex was an absolute DOG. I feel like I say this about every book lol but it wasn't what I expected, it was way better. And I love when it's set in the UK...

This isn’t really a spoiler… but I hated the best friend. Why she such a B for?
