The Parisian police and the Gestapo are both trying to learn more about Dr. Petoit. We see them looking through evidence and his home, and it seems the lead detective has some personal attachment with the case. We also visit a brothel of sorts, and the colouring for this section is exquisite. During the brothel scene, we learn about the rumours and how The Butcher of Paris has taken the city by storm. We end off with the Gestapo finding Dr. Petoit’s wife.

Overall, this issue felt a little bit like filler to me. Nothing new came to light. I was interested in learning more about history and Dr. Petoit but I found it came up short. I suppose it is only the second issue, so maybe learning the background of Dr. Petoit should happen later. Hopefully, issue 3!
