I thinkg Anuradha Roy is a great storyteller and her stories and characters kept me reading.
There's a series of important issues and there're the simple story.
I loved it.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

From the Booker Prize nominated author Anuradha Roy, the Earthspinner is a novel that merges two worlds together through discovery, creation, uncertainty, loss, and love.

It’s a beautiful story — one I don’t really feel the right to critique — but I can’t help but say that despite being as well written as it was, I found myself struggling to get through it. It often left me bored and wanting more. I really wish I loved it more than I did because I think it’s such an important story that needs to be told.

Thank you to HarperVia for the advanced copy!

This book didn't really grab my attention till about 40 pages in. Things started to come together and we see how Sara sees the world and things around her and what is happening with other's within her community.

I like this kind of story, that tells about how things were and how they became. The book doesn't try to draw any epic conclusions it's simply a story about a period of time in someone's life and how it effected them and those around them. This is how life is, we don't always get profound answers.

I received this book as a part of a Goodreads Giveaway.

I want to start by saying my favorite thing about this novel was the style of writing. Any lyrical prose melts my heart every time. There were several lines that made me stop and think and take inspiration.

That being said, I just don’t understand the plot. I tried describing the plot points to multiple people and genuinely came up lost for words. What happened? What did any of it mean? Why was I most concerned about the well-being of a dog?

I could see myself enjoying other novels by the author, as the writing was beautiful. But this book was not it for me.
