I probably could carry on since it’s a short book but I cba. I’m not drawn in and I’d rather spend my time reading something else

This is one of those English class books that it's hard to say anything bad about because the writing is so poetic and the narrative so culturally significant, but it's also hard to say I love love LOVE the book in the same way I do others because the English class stigma makes it feel like a less personal experience. That said, I found the non-linear time traveling narrative really engaging and unique, and once I got into the book it was hard to put it down. I am glad I read it, and not just because now I can say I did. Ha.

This one was interesting. It might have been revolutionary during the time of release, but reading now, it just seems okay. Still, I enjoyed it enough. 3.5 stars.

This book slapped.

Although throughout the majority of my read I experienced genuine and deep confusion, “Slaughterhouse-Five” has to be one of the most well written books I have ever read.

I’m not going to lie, I had to take a while off from reading after finishing this book.

“Slaughterhouse-Five” requires at least a two week period of interpersonal cognition and analysis after completion to be throughly enjoyed.

When I had heard that “Slaughterhouse-Five” was a classic, I was expecting a solemn war tome.

Then, I flipped the page and read about Tralfamadorians (Alien shaped toilet plungers). Oops, my bad: (Toilet-plunger-shaped aliens)

This book was quite literally an acid trip.

To be blunt, I think Kurt Vonnegut just bamboozled me, bamboozled me hard.

Poo-tee-weet is now my mantra.
