I very much enjoyed reading this. I'm looking forward to read more of fumiko enchi's work. She's got a way with words that traps you very easily in the story. Definitely a very dark, mysterious yet reflective book about manipulation and vengeance.

One of the best books ever written. Enchi Fumiko's allusions to the Tale of Genji and subversion of classic Japanese literary tropes to empower female characters is masterful. This book will leave you thinking long after you've finished it!
