One of the more satisfying books I’ve read in a long time. Beautiful prose, compelling story and great pacing for such a long book. I also really enjoyed the narration.

Loved this book! How it moved through time and incorporated trees/the environment into each generation of characters was really cool. I thought it was very beautiful despite each person having such struggles in their life. (Read for Feminist Book Club)

I've tried to read this book a few times this year, but it just doesn't interest me. I don't like the main character and the story is too romanticized dystopian for me. Too many details and unrealistic events happen. Too bad because the idea is interesting and I like this edition; the pages together look resemble annual rings.
