I didn't like it as much as the first because I'm not a fan of lack of communication in characters when that would fix the issues at hand. But I did love how the MMC created a safe environment and relationship for the FMC in a way she hadn't experienced before.

I liked Naomi more in book 1, full of bite and character. She seems dull and very cookie-cutter in this book. I get that she has to be more vulnerable to develop the character arch, but I feel like this plot let her down. She seemed so strong and independent, but she just seemed wishy-washy in this book.

Ethan just seemed like an average guy. Nothing too special. The book did progressively get better. But I still like book one.
