LOVE the art! I’m obsessed with L’s character design. And I love how it’s being hinted that L and Light are more similar than we might think.
But I thought the ending was kind of anticlimactic.
Still, I’m really having fun with this story! Can’t wait to read more.

Spoiler
Light’s house gets bugged — but no worries, because he already knows his house has been bugged, and he’s working around it. That’s just how cunning and observant 17 year old Light is. He’ll solve any conflict with his charm and wit, long before said conflict can make the story interesting. Yawn.Spoiler
I also don’t like how easily Light takes out the FBI agent’s fiancé. She seriously gives her personal info to some kid, thinking it might get her a job on the surveillance team? She really gives up on trying to speak to Light’s dad after visiting the place ONE time? It was so stupid, especially for a character who’s supposedly so cautious. And it’s yet another instance where the conflict is neutralized just before things can get interesting, all for the sake of elevating Light and his apparent genius-level intelligence.Still, I’m really having fun with this story! Can’t wait to read more.
Graphic: Death and Murder
Minor: Sexism

So rereading this story isn’t really it for me, it’s still a good story and I can get trough it quite fast. It’s definitely something that’s way more intense when first reading it and not knowing what is going to happen.

It was good but quite repetitive. When comparing the first volume with the second, I actually like the first a lot more even though I gave them both the same rating.
You keep thinking you know where the story is going and it keep throwing curve balls at you. It is fun, keep you on your toes and totally captivating. We are introduced to some new characters and left on a huge cliffhanger. My feelings for Light have not changed that much but now I totally love L and his quirkiness. He is special in ways that I can't describe and I’m looking forward seeing where the story will take me.
The third volume is already ordered.
