Book love!!!

The only thing you need to feel connected to this book is to have experienced the extreme need to get out of a place, so much so that you don't feel suffocated. But in the end, something holds you back, in a good way. Kind of weird. I know. But still this book ends up captivating the readers in a way that words can't describe. A sweet love story packed with responsibility, ego clashes and a coming back to home feeling! With the writing style that can make anyone fall in love with each character, this book won my heart. Okay, I do have a soft corner for sweet love story.

Cassidy is a tough woman--a stubborn woman, really. I think she's a little too stubborn for her own good. Yes, she's had a rough life and dreams of freedom. She craves a life full of traveling adventures--anywhere but Texas. For as long as she can remember, she has been responsible for the care of her irresponsible alcoholic mother.

Grady is a man who's back from his time overseas in the service. He's willing to be involved in running the family ranch. He develops an interest in Cassidy, but discovers that she has no desire to stick around.

It takes time, but the two do develop real feelings for each other. Cassidy breaks things off due to her desire to leave. She doesn't want Grady involved in her mess of a life, nor does she want to be stuck in Texas. When her mother screws up again, she's frustrated...to the point where she probably would like to strangle her mother!

But she comes to realize that she isn't necessarily doomed to a dull boring life. She re-evaluates her life, her choices, and her ultimate desires.

Cassidy Simon is working hard to be able to leave Evansville Texas. She has created a RV park to earn money and also works as a waitress. She dreams of traveling and seeing the world and being happy 'someday'. But right now she is working and taking care of her promiscuous and alcoholic mother. She is always thinking about what she will do in the future instead of about having fun now. That is until Greg McKenna comes back to town.

Greg has come back home after serving in the air force. He is ready to put down roots and work on his family's ranch. He isn't interested in any of the girls in town except for Cassidy much to his sister's dismay. Greg has to work to get Cassidy to give him the time of day but Greg is determined to get a date and then to give her a reason to stay.

This was a cute book with just a touch of drama but light for the most part. Cassidy was not a character who wined a lot. She had her issues but it was not so much that I got annoyed with her. And Greg was super cute. He was not some arrogant alpha who thought the world revolved around him. He was a self-aware guy who was willing to go for what he wanted while also taking Cassidy's feelings into account. They were very cute together and I wish there was just a little more at the end because I did not feel like I was done with them just yet.

Currently there are three more books in this series. I don't know if I am going to continue to read the rest right now. I liked this book but it is definitely not on my favorite list.

I also was not super impressed with the little excerpt from the second book. Since the second book is about Liz and Killian there should have been more glimpses of them in the first book to make me invested enough to want to read a book focusing on them. I just did not get that from this one. I might come back to this series later but it is not on my list to do right now.

I do recommend this for those who like cute and light romance reads. This is a light beach read book for sure. I got this book free on my kindle.

This was a few book I downloaded on my iBooks. It was a great airport read, but definitely not a book requiring a lot of attention. It's a quick romance read which sometimes a girl just needs to have.
