Stunning collection of artwork which focuses on female and female identifying fictional characters! I didn't know 80% of the characters featured (recognized my favorites like Anne Shirley, Meg Murry, Mulan, Hermione Granger, Claudia Kishi and Sabriel + Lirael), so that was a nice change. Most of the pieces have blurbs which describe the character/series and the artist's reasons for creating the art. I really enjoyed and appreciated those! 

And I am forever sad I won't ever have the chance to read volume 1 (limited run and all), but I am grateful I got a copy of this!
