““No Gravitube? How do people get around?” “In things called jetliners. Large passenger aircraft that can fly seven miles high at three-quarters of the speed of sound— some even faster.” It was plainly a ridiculous idea, and I told him.” P. 408

I love Thursday Next novels. And I want to be a literary detective when I grow up. Just kidding. In all seriousness, I love these novels because they're so freakishly creative!

What a thoroughly enjoyable book! I had a little trouble getting into the first book, the world is hard to comprehend; however, reading the second book was SO much easier and entertaining because I was already familiar with the quirkiness of the world and I could just swim along with the current of this story. Wonderful silliness surrounded by a good plot, interesting characters and a whimsical setting.

Read them in order. Read them.
