A great continuation of the Shadowfell series. Neryn continues her journey to learn from the the Guardians. We finally get to meet more Guardians and new Fair Folk. There were some intense surprises and true heart breaks, but I can't wait to see what happens next.

After reading the first book, Shadowfell, I was looking forward to read the next "chapter". I found that this book lacked the same amount action and mystery of the first book and so I was less caught up in it, which made me quite sad. But i was determined to finish it and quite right, halfway through the action picked up along with some interesting twists to the story which made the last leg of the book much more enjoyable. I finished it must faster than I had anticipated. The final chapters are well crafted and am now can't wait to see what happens next. Not Juliet's best book but still worth a read if you're a fan of her work and specially if you've enjoyed Shadowfell.
