I love this book so much! The characters were all very complex and well written.  Yearling and Page's friendship was so sweet.  The sister's bond was very well done.  I also think that this book has just enough romance.  There was enough magic for the story to by mysterious and whimsical, but not so much that it overpowered the characters.  The prose was beautiful.

Who do I recommend this book to? People who want to read an amazing character driven story.
Who should consider skipping this book? People who want morally ambiguous main characters, a very plot focus narrative, or a book that focus's on magic/is high fantasy
Will I read more of Anna-Marie McLemore's work? Yes! I'm planning on starting their book Wild Beauty soon!

This was an amazing retelling of Snow White & Rose Red! Honestly not surprised because everything McLemore writes is amazing. They are easily a favorite author of mine and I am so excited for their future books.
