Mio, My Son by Astrid Lindgren

My mom read it several times to me when I was a kid, but I didn't remember much of it, even though I called it my favorite book at that time.
I have to admit that even today I really enjoyed reading this novel, Lindgren has created an interesting and magical new land (Farawayland), which kinda dragged me in.
Quick read, but many things happen.

Maybe I`m a already bitter and rational growup who cannot appreciate sweet and simple children stories anymore (at least this week.).I loved LIndgren`s another book Ronia`s the Robbers daughter , a gem and in my list of all time favorite books, so this work here is well written but failed in enchanted me with Mio`s adventures in Farawayland.
I thought this story depressing, a lonely life saved by imagination.

Läste denna i skolan och spenderade sen två timmar med att analysera symboliken i den, vilket var superkul att göra när man hade pms och var väldigt gråtig i allmänhet :)
