I was so excited to finally tackle this book off my TBR. It read like if you took Den of Vipers and made it a little more watered down and spread it out between three books. As far as book one goes, I loved it. I liked all our mains for the most part. I wanted to be in Ezra's head a lot more than we got to be but that's fine I guess. I did find it a bit annoying how much our MFC lied and manipulated but also if that's your survival instinct I get it but I also just wanted to shake her a bit.

It was a nice quick read to reduce my stress. There’s no toxics and not really any tension. I liked the characters.

The writing gave me wattpad vibes. Some scenes didn’t make sense and some stuff was just forgotten and lost. The romance was very fast paced, the characters just somehow fell for each other without there being reasons why. Stuff just kinda happens for no reason. And the main character made a really stupid choice that pissed me off but all is well in the end.

Fear the Reapers by Jessa Halliwell
MC: Alex, Atlas, Tristan, Ezra, Cyrus
While I do love a good RH, this series gave me Den of Vipers vibes the entire time. I wanted something different from this series but only really got it around the last book.
I think this could have been turned into a duet instead of three separate books, especially because the last half of book 2 and book 3 really give you something new and exciting to sink your teeth into. That was the change I was looking for and it set up for some great potential new books from Jessa.
I’m a sucker for a RH with possessive MMC’s so this series really gave me enough of what I was looking for. All of the books are quick reads. If you’re looking for something quick, comforting, and spicy, pick up this series.
Overall: 3.8 Stars
